CAT DOLL

Editorial policy and classification scope

How the atlas organizes sources, translations and corrections.

Scope and sources

Domestic profiles draw on breed-reference terminology and distinguish breeds from mixed-ancestry cats. Recognition differs among registries. The wild-cat index follows the initial 40-species scope of the IUCN SSC Cat Specialist Group living-species directory and its 2017 classification framework. This does not claim to settle every later taxonomic proposal.

Health information

Care articles are general educational material. Tools explain their calculations and limitations. They do not diagnose disease, prescribe medication or replace an individual veterinary assessment. For urgent illness or injury, contact a veterinarian.

Translations

English is the source language. Translations may be machine-assisted and can require editorial review. When a translation is unavailable, the original is labeled. Updating a source marks existing translations as needing review.

Corrections

Use the contact form with the page URL, the proposed correction and a reliable source. Editorial decisions should prioritize accuracy, animal welfare and clear attribution.
